The Orpyx System

Proactive Foot Care Built for Daily Life

People with peripheral neuropathy or loss of protective sensation (LOPS) may not feel the pressure on their feet that would normally cause discomfort and prompt natural weight shifting.

The Orpyx System is a prescription, in-shoe device that detects plantar pressure during everyday activities such as standing, sitting, and walking. When sustained pressure is detected, the system provides real-time notifications to prompt the user to immediately offload affected areas at risk.

Built for daily life, the Orpyx System helps users recognize pressure they may not otherwise feel, take timely action, and stay more aware of their foot health.

How the System Works

The Orpyx System includes three connected components that function together as one solution:

The Orpyx Sensory Insoles are sensorized therapeutic footbeds that are worn invisibly inside the shoe to detect plantar pressure during daily activities. It sends foot health data to the receiver, enabling real-time notifications when offloading may be needed.

The Orpyx receiver provides the user with real-time information, including:

  • Real-time pressure notifications
  • A live foot pressure map identifying areas for prompt offloading
  • Reports with step count, hours of use, and time in acceptable pressure state
  • An optional app is available for download on personal devices

The Orpyx Hub plugs into a standard electrical outlet and securely transmits encrypted data to support system functionality, patient-facing reports, and data analysis.

Is the Orpyx System Right for You?

Talk to your healthcare provider if you answer yes to any of the following:

  • Do you have peripheral neuropathy?
  • Have you lost feeling in your feet?
  • Have you had a foot ulcer in the past?
  • Has your provider told you that you are at risk for foot complications?

The Orpyx System is a standalone prescription device. For patients and providers who need additional support, Orpyx also offers optional continuous foot monitoring (CFM) nursing services.

With CFM nursing services, Orpyx remote nurses review information from the Orpyx System, provide coaching and education, and help keep patients and providers connected when follow-up may be appropriate.
